I have developed an agenda as an adult and formally trained artist. I take careful consideration to individual elements that comprise my field of vision and contemplate their harmony. The universe itself is not composed of separate, unrelated entities, but of a united web of events that embrace unity. I consider this concept when I create objects of art. I may focus on an interesting portion of an object or atmospheric scene, but I always consider its relationship to the whole—the big picture. This allows me to produce art in layers of completion. Whether I am creating a painting, drawing, ceramics object, or a two-dimensional design, I reflect upon its entirety to ensure that during any stage of development it may be considered complete. I believe that I construct artwork because I am inclined to. The labor and pleasure of creating art will certainly be a lifelong endeavor that I will pursue with pride.
